Maine Primary Care Association operates a Health Center Controlled Network (HCCN), the Community Health Center Network of Maine (CHCNet), which launched in 2005. Recognized as an important source of HIT related value, CHCNet has expanded to include 17 participating community health centers (PHCs) with a total of 84 sites, which are moving forward collaboratively on their mission “to strengthen and improve population health outcomes by leveraging health information technologies and building strong systems of care.”

In the summer of 2019, MPCA received an additional three years of support for CHCNet under the HRSA Health Center Controlled Network (HCCN) funding. This allows CHCNet to continue momentum and realize MPCA’s overarching and urgent goal for CHCNet, to truly “move the needle” in terms of participating Health Center readiness for value-based care models, which continue to gain hold as a key to sustainability—and which demand well-functioning HIT and data systems.

OSIS is a non-profit technology services organization dedicated to providing expert NextGen Healthcare technology assistance exclusively to Community Health Centers around the country.
